"Ma'am, she didn't escape on her own. It wasn't just her; individuals in masks assisted in a sneak attack. We were caught off guard and outnumbered last night. Please forgive us; we are committed to retrieving her," they explained earnestly.

Gloria expressed her anger, stating, "Only a fool would be so confident as to enter my compound and take my prisoner. Everyone in this city fears me."

Gloria ordered her team to conduct thorough inquiries into whoever infiltrated her compound. "Search every nook and cranny of this street, ask questions, and check the cameras to get a clear view of what happened tonight," she commanded.

Turning to Mike, she added, "Follow me to my office." As Richard took charge of the investigation, Gloria and Mike discussed the concerning developments.

"What's the matter?" Mike inquired.

"I feel like Richard is regaining his memories, and things are no longer looking good," Mike expressed his concern.

Gloria acknowledged, "I noticed that as well. He could have ended Linda today if she wasn't taken. Now, I have to extend our plans for another time."

"How long do we have?" Mike asked.

"I don't know, but one thing for sure is when we wiped his memories, we implanted a chip in his body. If he turns against us, I can activate the chip. It will burn him from the inside and kill him instantly," Gloria revealed with a cold determination.

While conducting inquiries on the previous night's events, the team stumbled upon a CCTV footage at a store beside the streetlight. Upon cross-checking, they discovered Victor's van in the footage. Rushing back to Gloria, they reported their findings.

"The men attacked your house at 11:45 and left around 12:07. Victor's van appeared on this camera by 12:10, and considering the driving speed, they reached here in about 3 minutes instead of the normal 5. It seems likely that Victor's men were the ones behind the attack," they explained to Gloria.

Gloria, pondering the connection between Victor and Linda, expressed her uncertainty. "I don't know why Victor came to her rescue, but whatever it is, I'm not sure it's good," she admitted.

Feeling a sense of urgency, Gloria broke the silence. "I think whatever we're doing, we should do it fast because I don't like what I'm feeling."

Mike, seeking guidance, asked, "What do you suggest we do, ma'am?"

In Victor's hideout, nestled in one of his stores in the city, Linda and Victor planned their next phase of attack. They discussed targeting the IHS Broadcasting Station, aiming to expose Gloria's crimes to the public.

"I suggest we go to the IHS BROADCASTING STATION. Once we reach there, we connect this to their computer. It's the biggest and most popular station. Maybe the SIA agency will now know how to take care of Gloria," Linda proposed.

Victor, concerned about Gloria's power, questioned, "What if she's too powerful to take down?"

"At least the public will be against her. No one will buy anything from the company anymore," Linda argued.

Victor countered, "Do you think Linda cares? People buy those products to sell and feed their families. Do you think it's going to be easy?"

Frustrated, Linda shouted at Victor, "Why are you making things hard for me? You're really not helping. Every time I suggest something, instead of thinking of a solution, you just find a way to cloud what I said. You're the elder here; tell me what you have."

As Victor looked at her, he contemplated his response, thinking of a way forward.

Linda's phone rang, and she answered to find Gloria on the other end.

"What do you want?" Linda asked.

"I want nothing. I know Victor rescued you, but that's not my problem. Tell Victor I said he's going to die in my hands," Gloria declared over the loudspeaker, ensuring Victor heard every word.

"Do you want to save your boyfriend?" Gloria continued, taunting Linda. "If you want him back in good health, you better turn yourself in."

Linda, angered by Gloria's threats, retorted, "How dare you bring his family into this! His family has nothing to do with it."

Gloria, unrelenting, insisted that Linda reveal her location. Victor, infuriated, seized the phone, confronting Gloria for her sinister plans.

"You witch! I can't believe you want to kill the boy's family," Victor accused.
