BONDED BY BLOOD, FORGED BY LOVE CHAPTER ONE a CENTURY LEGACY
The 100th anniversary of the Royal Group of Companies promised to be a truly memorable event. Reflecting on the company's 50th anniversary, Mr. Lawrence, the current CEO, recalled that he hadn't even been born at the time. However, his father often shared stories of that grand celebration, urging him to match—or even surpass—the grandeur when the time came to mark the centennial milestone.
Determined to make the centennial celebration the grandest yet, Mr. Lawrence threw himself into meticulous planning. His efforts paid off, as the event drew an overwhelming crowd of visitors. After all, the Royal Group of Companies had earned its place among the top five conglomerates on the continent. Its vast empire spanned industries such as electronics, mechanics, education, retail, textiles, hospitality, oil, and even sports, with one football club competing in Europe and another dominating the local league.
Although most branches of the Royal Group of Companies thrived within the country, its influence had extended across the globe. As Lawrence ascended the podium to deliver his speech, the room fell silent, all eyes fixed on him.
“First and foremost,” he began, “I want to express my deepest gratitude to those who have worked tirelessly alongside me to elevate this company to its current heights. In particular, I want to acknowledge the managers of our various branches and the dedicated teams working under them. None of this would have been possible without your unwavering commitment. Let’s give them—and yourselves—a well-deserved round of applause.”
After the applause subsided, Lawrence continued, “As we all know, today marks the 100th anniversary of the Royal Group of Companies. When my father was alive, he began teaching me the ins and outs of this business from a very young age. Without his wisdom and guidance, we would not have reached the heights we celebrate today.
That’s why, on this special occasion, I want to share a personal milestone as well. Not only are we honoring a century of excellence, but we are also celebrating my son’s birthday.
Ladies and gentlemen, it is my great pleasure to introduce the heir to the Royal Group of Companies—my son, Peter Michael—who turns 15 today. I couldn’t think of a better gift for him than officially passing on the legacy of this incredible company.”
A wave of applause erupted as a young, handsome boy—dressed sharply in a suit—stepped onto the podium. He looked every bit his 15 years. Cameras flashed incessantly as the media rushed to capture the moment, prompting him to squint slightly under the bright lights. With calm composure, he made his way to his father, who welcomed him with a warm embrace.
Peter then stepped forward, offering a respectful bow before raising his hands to greet the crowd.
“Please take good care of me,” he said with a bright smile, his voice confident yet humble.
