MY PERFECT BODYGUARD CHAPTER FIFTY THREE ;SHATTERED PLANS AND UNSEEN FORCES
In the heart of the city, Gloria's frustration reached its peak as Richard remained elusive despite her attempts to locate him through her men scouring every corner. In her office, alongside Mile, she now grapples with devising a meticulous plan to eliminate Linda without leaving a trace back to her.
Mike pondered, "What's the plan for dealing with Linda? If we eliminate her, it could lead back to me, considering she's Jim's daughter. People around here still remember her after she infiltrated the company last month," Gloria reminded him, a hint of caution in her tone.
"Could we stage her death, similar to what we did with Jim?" Mike proposed.
"It's a good idea, but people might connect the dots if both deaths occur in the same way," Gloria countered. "Our initial plan involved Richard shooting her, followed by creating a video clip to send to the press," she explained.
While deep in their planning, one of Gloria's men entered the room with urgent news. "We just met the informant we had in the police, following your instructions. Surprisingly, someone else was aware of our plan to apprehend Linda at Victor's store. We traced the caller's number, and it turned out to be Richard."
"What? Richard? How is that possible?" Gloria exclaimed, rising from her seat.
"I don't know, ma'am. We double-checked, and it's indeed Richard," the informant replied.
Gloria, absorbing the shocking revelation, sank back into her seat. "If Richard now knows we manipulated him, he might be formulating a counterattack strategy," she speculated.
"Prepare the men. Secure all company premises and my residence. Assign seven men to guard me and Robert, and deploy 50 men to protect my house," Gloria instructed Mike as he swiftly left to implement the security measures.
Upon returning to the city, Richard took a deep breath and secured a house near the beach. After settling in, he decided to arm himself and headed to Damian's shop. As he entered, Damian was taken aback by Richard's transformation.
"Omg, Richard, you've grown into a big man," Damian exclaimed, expressing surprise. Richard smiled, showing respect, "Hope you've been well, master."
"Of course, I've been well," Damian replied warmly. "I missed you, man. Come, take a seat." They engaged in a conversation, reminiscing about the past. Afterward, they delved into crafting weapons—arrows, bows, and even implementing tranquilizer bombs. Richard also built a gun and a sniper with tranquilizer capabilities.
Grateful for Damian's assistance, Richard thanked him and swiftly headed back to the city, readying himself for the impending mission ahead.
The following day, Gloria, realizing that Richard's only connection to the company and his motivation to fight was Linda, took decisive action. She began orchestrating Linda's demise in a warehouse, understanding that eliminating Linda would leave Richard without a purpose.
To stage Linda's death, Gloria crafted a letter, making it appear as if it were written by Linda. The contents conveyed Linda's deep frustration regarding her father's death, expressing a heartbreaking decision to end her own life. This calculated move was intended to sever Richard's ties to the company and extinguish his motivation for revenge.
Gloria approached Linda, who was helplessly on the floor, and declared, "The best day of my life has come."
Linda, puzzled, asked, "What are you celebrating today?"
"Today is the day this company is officially mine, rightfully mine," Gloria asserted. Linda sarcastically responded, "Wow, are you going to bring papers for me to sign? Because let me tell you, I'd rather die than sign it."
"Exactly. It's your life I want, not your signature," Gloria replied, laughing. "Did you actually think I could be that naive, Linda? Of course, you think," she added, emphasizing the deception.
In fear for her life, Linda pleaded, "What about Richard? Can I just meet him once before you take my life?"
Gloria coldly replied, "I'm afraid that's not going to be possible anymore. Your boyfriend seems confused and left us. He ran away, so I'm afraid you can't meet him anymore." Gloria continued, "Just prepare. We will be ending you at your father's house by hanging. The press will believe it was done by yourself. So, prepare, because it's happening this afternoon." With that, Gloria left, leaving Linda in tears.
As Linda wept, she eventually drifted into sleep. When she woke up, she was abruptly lifted from the ground by security personnel and placed into a van. Resigned to her fate, she had accepted that death was inevitable, but the ache in her heart persisted, knowing she wouldn't get to see Richard again.
During the drive to Jim's house, Gloria awaited the moment eagerly. The preparations were in place—the rope was set, and the fabricated letter lay on the table.
"Before we start, we need your fingerprint stamp," Gloria declared to Linda. Linda, refusing and struggling to run away, found herself gripped by the bodyguards who forced her hands onto an ink pad and then stamped her fingerprints onto the paper. The ominous proceedings continued, heightening the tension for Linda.
As Gloria's men tightly bound Linda's hands and legs, rendering her helpless, Gloria declared, "Now it's time for you to die."
The two men lifted Linda and secured her in place, tying the knots so tight that she couldn't move. As they prepared to execute the grim task, Gloria ordered, "Once we hang her and she passes out, we remove the rope and leave."
Linda, still struggling and in tears, cried out loud, "Please, Gloria, let me go. I will sign any paperwork you want. Please, I'm not ready to die." Despite Linda's pleas, Gloria remained indifferent, giving the go-ahead order to hang her.
However, just as Linda's neck was about to enter the noose, a tear gas canister exploded into the room, enveloping it in smoke. Another tear gas canister followed, and then five to six more were thrown into the house, disrupting the planned execution.
Suddenly, chaos erupted in the building. The air was filled with the sounds of punches, grunts, and men screaming gunshots where heard too. It seemed like someone was overpowering Gloria's men one by one. After a while, the chaos subsided, and a voice was no longer heard. It felt as if only Linda and Gloria remained in the house.
The smoke from the tear gas disoriented Gloria, making her feel dizzy. Desperate for clean air, she stumbled out of the room. On the other hand, Linda, weakened and unable to move, collapsed on the ground, the events unfolding around her leaving her disoriented and terrified.
