Linda sat in the audience, unable to believe her eyes. Tears streamed down her face, unstoppable. Emma, however, smiled as she whispered to herself, “I knew it would take more than a hundred falcons to kill my boy.” Richard, having climbed from the backstag e, was now stepping forward to receive his award. After the ceremony, the crowd had dispersed, and the military personnel were gone. Richard waved them goodbye before turning to thank Detective. “Thank you for helping me,” Richard said, shaking the detective’s hand. “I owe you my life.” “It’s nothing, Rich,” the detective replied with a smile. “You saved this city. The whole country owes you. And because of you, I’ve been promoted to prosecutor.” Richard blinked in surprise. “Wow, congrats!” he said. “That’s incredible.” The detective laughed. “I’ll say it again. You’re the one who saved us all.” As the detective made his way to the car, Richard turned and saw his family waiting for him. Cynthia, his sister, Nina, Linda, and Emma we...

MY PERFECT BODYGUARD 2 CHAPTER THIRTY-SIX THE CHEMISTRY OF DESPERATION

Richard's journey back to the city felt both long and short. Long because of the distance, yet too short for him to properly strategize his next move. As soon as he reached the riverbank, he knew he needed to come up with a plan quickly, but his mind was still racing. “Damn! I can’t believe I couldn’t come up with a plan in all this time. Things would’ve been easier if Emma were here,” Richard muttered to himself as he paced around the riverbank, panic setting in. “Gideon is definitely looking for me now. Alright, here’s what I’ll do: I’ll head back to Linda, Emma, and Nina. Together, we’ll come up with a plan to stop Gideon. I’m not letting his blood end up on my hands.” "But wait," Richard said, still panicking. "If I don't kill him, he'll kill me. Oh my God, this is bad. I can't believe I threatened a world-class murderer. What should I do now?" He tried to hold himself together, desperately attempting to calm down. After a long period of panick...

MY PERFECT BODYGUARD 2 CHAPTER TWENTY EIGHT INTO THE UNKNOWN

The following morning, after a restless yet surprisingly comfortable night's sleep, Linda made her way to the kitchen in search of some refreshing water. As she entered, she found Richard diligently drying the freshly washed dishes. Their eyes met, and an unspoken tension filled the air. Surveying the kitchen, Linda noticed that the tumbler she needed was placed too high for her to reach. With a frustrated groan, she stretched as far as she could, attempting to grasp it. Unbeknownst to her, Richard had silently moved closer behind her. In a swift motion, he reached out and effortlessly retrieved the tumbler before handing it to her. Later in the morning, Nina and Emma busied themselves preparing breakfast together in the kitchen. As they worked side by side, Emma paused and approached Nina with a suggestion. "Hey, I was thinking, maybe we could go on a picnic together later. Just enjoy some time alone," Emma proposed, a hopeful expression on his face. Nina smiled warmly a...

MY PERFECT BODYGUARD 2 CHAPTER TWENTY SIX THE SHOWDOWN AND THE RESCUE MISSION

As the arrow struck one of the Falcon men, he crumpled to the ground in agony, sending a shockwave of fear through the remaining Falcons. They looked up to see Richard, poised above them with another arrow notched to his bow. "I said, get away from her!" Richard's voice boomed, his eyes flashing with determination as he drew two more arrows simultaneously and let them fly. The arrows found their marks, felling two more men who collapsed to the ground in pain. In the midst of the chaos, some of the Falcons fled in terror while others opened fire at Richard. With lightning reflexes, he dodged the incoming bullets, swiftly evading their attacks as he made a strategic retreat from the scene. "Nina, I'm going to draw the Falcon away from Linda. You guys go get her," Richard said urgently through their earpiece. "What? Are you insane? They'll kill you! Let's fight them together," Emmanuel protested, his voice filled with concern. "I apprecia...

MY PERFECT BODYGUARD 2 CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR BETRAYAL EMBRACE

Linda was gripped with grave panic upon learning that Franklin wasn't who he appeared to be. Standing at the river banks of the villa, she was lost in deep contemplation. After spending a considerable amount of time by the water, she gathered herself and made her way back to the house, pretending ignorance to ensure her own safety.  Despite her inner turmoil, she couldn't muster the courage to reach out to Richard, whom she had previously pushed away. Feelings of sadness and fear overwhelmed her, yet she knew she had to conceal these emotions. Upon arriving at the house, Linda found Franklin already cooking. As he noticed her return, he approached her and enveloped her in a hug. "Hey, you had me worried. I'm sorry for acting like a jerk. I promise I won't smoke again," he reassured her. Linda nodded in acknowledgment and quietly made her way to the room. As Linda made her way to the room, Franklin noticed her somber mood and inquired, "Hey, is there any...

MY PERFECT BODYGUARD 2 CHAPTER EIGHTEEN THE ESCAPE

After the judge delivered his verdict, the courtroom erupted with noise and whispers. Many questioned why such a severe punishment was handed down for Richard's assault on Franklin. As the police escorted Richard out of the court to the waiting police van, Emma and Nina hurried after him. "Hang in there, Richard," Emma urged as they trailed the police towards the van and watched as he was locked inside. As the police van drove off, Nina and Emma quickly headed in the opposite direction, got into their car, and began following the van. Inside the van, the police officers kept a close watch on Richard as he broke the silence. "I'm sure Gideon has a hand in this," Richard asserted. "Your boss is so scared of me that he wants to eliminate me, right?" Richard's tone was defiant. "Well, bad news for him. I'm not the kind of person you can easily get rid of," Richard stated boldly. The police officer remained silent in response. "...
