MY PERFECT BODYGUARD 2 CHAPTER EIGHTEEN THE ESCAPE
After the judge delivered his verdict, the courtroom erupted with noise and whispers. Many questioned why such a severe punishment was handed down for Richard's assault on Franklin.
As the police escorted Richard out of the court to the waiting police van, Emma and Nina hurried after him. "Hang in there, Richard," Emma urged as they trailed the police towards the van and watched as he was locked inside.
As the police van drove off, Nina and Emma quickly headed in the opposite direction, got into their car, and began following the van. Inside the van, the police officers kept a close watch on Richard as he broke the silence.
"I'm sure Gideon has a hand in this," Richard asserted. "Your boss is so scared of me that he wants to eliminate me, right?" Richard's tone was defiant.
"Well, bad news for him. I'm not the kind of person you can easily get rid of," Richard stated boldly.
The police officer remained silent in response.
"I bet I can take you guys in this bus," Richard taunted once more as the police officer received a call.
"Sir, we're bringing him over to you now. We're on the way," the police officer reported, but before he could finish, Richard delivered a powerful kick, knocking the officer unconscious. Swiftly, Richard grabbed the officer's keys and unlocked his handcuffs.
As Richard attempted to open the van door, he heard the click of the lock giving way. Without hesitation, he flung the door open and leaped out of the van just as the police cars behind them screeched to a halt.
Bullets rang out as the police officers opened fire at Richard, who sought refuge behind a parked car along the roadside.
As soon as they realized Richard had broken loose, the authorities made urgent calls to dispatch more troops. Meanwhile, as the police continued firing at Richard, the Falcon Fraternity arrived in large numbers.
"Oh, oh," Richard muttered under his breath as he sprinted towards a police officer who aimed at him. With lightning speed, Richard dodged the bullet and swiftly delivered a sweeping kick, causing the officer to lose his balance. In a split second, Richard seized the officer's gun.
Richard stood his ground, returning fire in an attempt to defend himself. Despite the overwhelming odds, he somehow gained the upper hand, employing incredible technique as he systematically took out the police and members of the Falcon Fraternity.
In the intense exchange of gunfire, Richard's skill and determination allowed him to prevail for several minutes. He methodically neutralized his adversaries, one after the other, until his ammunition ran out, leaving him momentarily vulnerable.
As the police and Falcon Fraternity members witnessed Richard's prowess, they began retreating one by one, unaware that his ammunition had run out. Richard, observing their retreat, seized the opportunity to flee.
With full speed, he dashed into the streets, pursued once more by his adversaries. Moments later, as he emerged onto the other side of the road, a car collided with him, sending him tumbling to the ground. Fortunately, it was Nina's car, and she and Emma quickly rushed out to help him into the vehicle. Without delay, they sped off, leaving the chaotic scene behind.
Inside Nina's car, Richard leaned back, his adrenaline still coursing through his veins. He glanced at Nina and Emma, gratitude evident in his eyes despite the chaos surrounding them.
"Thanks," he managed to say between labored breaths.
Nina shot him a reassuring smile. "We'll talk later. For now, let's get you somewhere safe," she said, her voice steady with determination.
Emma nodded in agreement, her hands firmly gripping the steering wheel as she navigated through the bustling streets, their destination uncertain but the need for safety paramount.
As they drove on, Richard's mind raced with a mixture of relief and apprehension. He knew he had narrowly escaped a dire situation, but the events of the day had only deepened the mysteries surrounding Gideon and his own past.
Silence enveloped the car, broken only by the sound of the engine and the occasional honking of horns from other vehicles. Each occupant lost in their thoughts, contemplating the uncertainties that lay ahead.
But amidst the uncertainty, one thing remained clear—Richard's resolve to uncover the truth and confront the forces that threatened his existence, even if it meant delving into the darkest corners of his past.
With determination etched on their faces, they journeyed into the unknown, united by a bond forged in the crucible of adversity, ready to face whatever challenges awaited them on the horizon.
And as the city lights blurred past them, casting fleeting shadows upon their faces, they knew that their journey was far from over.
So where now nina asked
Let's go back to reinforcement Richard said
Nina glanced at Richard, her expression a mix of concern and determination. "Are you sure that's the best course of action?"
Richard nodded, his gaze unwavering. "We can't confront this alone. Gideon's reach extends far, and we need all the help we can get."
Emma chimed in, her voice resolute. "Richard's right. We can't take on Gideon and his forces by ourselves. We need backup."
With a shared sense of purpose, Nina nodded in agreement. "Alright then. Let's head back for reinforcement."
As the car surged forward, the trio prepared themselves for the challenges that lay ahead, knowing that their journey was far from over, and the true test of their strength and resilience awaited them.
