MY PERFECT BODY GUARD CHAPTER NINETEEN :UNVEILING BETRAYAL

Samuel was driving his latest model Range Rover along a remote and elevated road. He was lost in deep thought, pondering what Gloria had said to him and how she had threatened his family if he didn't comply with her request. Unfortunately, in the midst of his contemplation, a trailer collided with his car, leaving him in a state of shock.

Samuel was discovered conscious but teetering on the brink of death, having lost a significant amount of blood. Good Samaritans in the vicinity promptly rushed him to the hospital. The suddenness of the incident left onlookers in a state of profound shock. Upon arriving at the hospital, he was immediately taken into the operating room. The medical staff's top priority was to staunch the bleeding at any cost. With great urgency, the nurses attended to his injuries, sealed off the operating theater, and began the critical work of saving his life.

Meanwhile, Dr. Jim was engrossed in working on some documents in his office, wearing his spectacles, when his phone suddenly rang. Startled, he picked it up, and on the other end, he heard the distraught voice of Samuel's wife. Jim tried to console her and asked her to calm down.

"Laura," he stammered, "Samuel... Samuel got into an accident, and I'm not sure he's going to make it. He lost a lot of blood, and he's not waking up," she said, her voice shaking with tears.

"Oh my God," Jim exclaimed, his chair scraping back as he stood up, "Tell me which hospital."

"Mother Theresa Hospital," she replied through sobs.

Without a second thought, Jim dashed out of his office, not even bothering to change his clothes. He hurriedly entered his car and raced out of his compound, determined to reach the hospital as quickly as possible.

As Jim stepped out of his car and approached the front doors of the hospital, he was lost in a whirlwind of thoughts. Samuel was his most trusted advisor, and if he were to lose him, Jim knew he would never forgive himself. The battle against his enemies weighed heavily on him, and Samuel's support was indispensable. It was all too much to bear.

Entering the hospital, Jim spotted Laura sitting in front of the emergency room, tears streaming down her face. He approached her and enveloped her in a comforting hug. "I'm so sorry for what happened," he whispered softly.

Laura, still sobbing, tried to explain, "He was supposed to come back this afternoon, Jim, but he got hit by a car. It doesn't make any sense. Samuel has been driving for 27 years; he's not someone who loses focus while driving."

Jim held Laura tighter, offering solace in her time of deep sorrow.

Jim was taken aback when Laura mentioned the mysterious woman. He released his grip on her and asked, "What woman are you talking about?"

"I don't know her name," Laura replied, her voice trembling. "I'm so sorry, Jim. Samuel made me promise not to say anything to you, but I can't bear it anymore."

Jim's concern deepened. "Tell me everything," he urged.

Laura continued, "It was this woman, and I think she's somehow related to you. She came here weeks ago and asked Samuel to work with her to overthrow you. Samuel refused, but she gave him a grace period to think it through. She even threatened to kill us if he didn't adhere to her demands."

Jim's mind raced as he processed this revelation.

"Gloria... I knew it was her," Jim muttered, his voice filled with a mixture of anger and fear. He couldn't believe that someone he had trusted, even his stepmother, would try to take over the company.

As they continued talking, the doctor emerged from the emergency room, and both Laura and Jim rushed to hear the news about Samuel. The doctor explained, "He lost a lot of blood, and he hasn't woken up yet. The surgery went well, but he's in a coma. Let's pray that he makes it."

Laura, overwhelmed with emotion, broke down in tears, expressing her concerns about raising their children alone. Jim comforted her, saying, "It's going to be fine, my dear. He will wake up, but you have to be strong for him. Please, Laura."

He then made a plan, "I'll take you home. You go and get cleaned up and bring some clothes for him. I'll bring you back here. You hear?" Laura nodded in agreement as they both left the hospital, clinging to hope during this difficult time.

After bringing Laura back to the hospital, Jim returned to his own house and sank into a sofa chair, lost in deep thought. He was holding Samuel's phone and decided to dial Jacob's number.

"Hello, Jacob," he said. "How's the bodyguard training going?"

Jacob replied, "It's going fine, sir. We're reaching the final stage."

Jim nodded and said with determination, "Well, round it up. It's time."
