MY PERFECT BODYGUARD CHAPTER FIFTY SIX:PRAYERS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As Richard took two bullets and Gloria was apprehended, an urgent rush ensued to transport him to the hospital. Linda, tearful and covered in Richard's blood, remained steadfast, continuously applying pressure to his wounds.

Upon reaching the hospital, nurses swiftly took charge of Richard, placing him on a mobile stretcher for transport to the emergency room. Linda assisted in pushing him, but her entry into the emergency room was denied. A nurse gently conveyed, "I'm sorry, but you're not allowed to accompany us." Linda nodded, her tearful eyes filled with worry, as she stood in the waiting lobby, engulfed in profound thoughts.

Linda endured hours of restless waiting, refusing to sleep or take a break. As the doctor emerged from the emergency room, she anxiously inquired about Richard's condition. The doctor's response carried a mix of relief and concern. "If you had waited one more second to bring him here, he might not have made it," he admitted. Linda sighed with relief, but her hopes were tempered by the doctor's next revelation. "He lost a significant amount of blood, and despite the odds, he didn't succumb. However, he's in a coma, and I can't determine when he'll wake up," the doctor explained with a hint of uncertainty.

In tears, Linda implored, "Can I see him?" The doctor nodded, gesturing towards the entrance of the emergency room. As Linda entered, witnessing Richard's frail state, she couldn't contain her sorrow. Seated beside his hospital bed, tears streamed down her face.

"I'm so sorry, Richard," she sobbed loudly.

At that moment, Richard's mother, Maria, and Cynthia rushed in. Seeing Richard's condition, all three women were overcome with grief. Together, they wept by his bedside, sharing in the collective worry and pain that filled the hospital room.

For two weeks since Richard's admission, Linda faithfully visited the hospital daily, sharing numerous stories from her large college storybook. Despite the presence of Maria and Cynthia, who were taking care of Richard, Linda remained devoted, spending each day from morning till night at his side.

She told him Stories like

Once upon a time, in a small town nestled between rolling hills and fields of wildflowers, there lived a wise old owl named Oliver. Oliver was known far and wide for his storytelling prowess. Every evening, the animals of the forest would gather around a big oak tree to listen to his tales.

One day, a young rabbit named Rosie approached Oliver and asked, "Could you tell us a story about love and resilience, something that warms the heart?"

Oliver nodded and began a tale that touched the hearts of all the forest creatures. It was a story of a tiny seed that, against all odds, grew into a beautiful, resilient sunflower. The little seed faced challenges – harsh weather, hungry birds, and rocky soil – but it persevered.

As the story unfolded, Rosie found herself enchanted by the sunflower's journey. The little seed, with unwavering determination, pushed through the soil, reached for the sunlight, and blossomed into a vibrant flower. The message was clear – love and resilience could turn even the smallest seed into a symbol of beauty and strength.

Every day, Linda would read this story to Richard, hoping that the tale of the sunflower's triumph would inspire him in his own journey toward recovery. The hospital room became a haven of hope, where stories of resilience and love filled the air, weaving a tapestry of warmth around Richard.

While Linda was engrossed in telling stories to Richard, six distinguished individuals in black suits, two women and four men, approached her at the hospital. In the presence of Maria and Cynthia, they requested a private conversation.

"Miss Jim, can we have a word with you?" asked Dr. Peter Junior, introducing himself and his friends as shareholders of Prime Tech who had returned from South Korea to address the company's challenges.

Interrupting, a woman among them expressed, "Our loyalty is to Dr. Jim, and we believe his heir should return to the company to set things in order. We're here to help."

Linda, torn between loyalty and her commitment to Richard, replied, "I can't just leave the guy that saved my life. I need to be with him until he wakes, and I don't care about the company anymore."

Maria, sensing Linda's internal struggle, comforted her, saying, "Relax. You're not to blame for Richard's pain.

Maria spoke with conviction, "Richard made his choice, knowing the consequences. He saved you because he promised to do everything for you to regain your company. If given a second chance, he would willingly do it again. For his sake, you need to go back to the company and set things right. We'll let you know once he wakes."

Holding Linda's hands, Maria emphasized the importance of taking this step. Cynthia joined in, assuring, "We will take care of him; he's family." The three shared a comforting hug.

"Good luck, my dear," Maria said as they bid farewell. Linda approached Richard, expressing, "I want to leave now to take care of things. When we meet again, you should be on your feet." She kissed him on the forehead and left, waving goodbye to Maria and Cynthia.

Upon leaving the hospital, Linda dove into her role as the CEO of Prime Tech. Her initial focus was on uncovering those who conspired against her father, particularly the shareholders. Linda strategically acquired their shares, compensating them, and simultaneously took legal action against them for their involvement in her father's demise.

The courtroom battle ensued, resulting in the shareholders facing justice and being incarcerated. Although the challenges within the company were abundant, Linda found support and assistance to navigate through the complexities of her new role. The journey to restore Prime Tech to its former glory had begun, fueled by Linda's determination and the allies she gathered along the way.
