MY PERFECT BODYGUARD CHAPTER THIRTY THREE: GROWING ALLIANCE

After Richard and Linda successfully left the house, they quickly headed towards their bike and sped away.

Richard inquired about their next plan, to which Linda responded, "We'll find a suite or hotel and then strategize another plan for infiltrating Prime Tech."

At Prime Tech, the two men who had been posted at Linda's house were now kneeling before Gloria, who was clearly furious.

Gloria demanded, "Are you telling me that two fully grown men, armed with guns, couldn't capture and subdue an eighteen-year-old girl? Is that what you're saying?" She continued to express her anger.

One of the men, full of regret, pleaded, "I'm deeply sorry, ma'am. She wasn't alone; she had someone who was looking out for her, a young man. We didn't get a clear look at him, but I can guarantee you she had someone supporting her."

Gloria's frustration and disappointment were evident as she processed this information.

Gloria pressed further, questioning the men, "So, are you suggesting that a boy managed to defeat you, or are you just saying this to save your own skin?"

The men maintained their seriousness, insisting, "We are being completely honest, ma'am. She wasn't alone; she had someone with her."

In response, Gloria ordered the CCTV footage from the living room to be played. As she sat down, the video began to play, and Jim's former bodyguards, who were now loyal to Gloria, were present as well. Watching the clip, the two men who had been at Linda's house began to visibly shake with fear.

Gloria's anger flared even higher as she witnessed the actions of the two men trying to take advantage of Linda.

"You had one job, and that was to ensure you subdued Linda," Gloria scolded them. "But you went for your own pleasure," she added, her tone seething with anger.

The two men, still on their knees, begged and pleaded, "Please, Madam, we're truly sorry. It won't happen again." Tears streamed down their faces as they continued to implore for mercy.

Gloria turned to the other men in the room and ordered, "Take these two fools and lock them away." As the two men were led away, still struggling to beg for forgiveness, Gloria resumed her seat and played the video clip. It became clear that Richard had intervened to rescue Linda, and she paused the video at that moment.

Gloria realized, "They were right about one thing. The girl isn't alone. She seems to have someone loyal to her cause."

Mike in the room moved closer to the TV, visibly shocked, as he tried to take a closer look at what was happening in the video.

Gloria noticed Mike's concern and asked, "Is there a problem, Mike?"

Mike, looking worried, responded, "I know this kid, ma'am."

Gloria pondered the situation, saying, "Well, he seems to be about the same age as the girl, so they must have had some kind of connection, maybe even a romantic one. What matters to me is that he's just a kid, and I won't hesitate to eliminate him if he crosses our path again."

However, Mike, still concerned, cautioned, "Ma'am, this guy might be young, but believe me, he's not someone you can easily dispose of."

Gloria inquired, "You seem to know him well?"

Mike nodded, explaining, "Of course, I do. During our BODYGUARD TRAINING, he was the best among us. I always thought that Jim sent him away because of his age, but it makes sense now. He must have sent him away to protect his daughter as the main assignment. The only reason he started the bodyguard training program in the first place."

Gloria now had a better understanding of the situation and the capabilities of the young man who was protecting Linda.

Gloria expressed her determination, "Jim must think he's ahead of me, but no one will cross my path without being crushed.

Mike agreed, I despise that kid anyway"If we ever encounter him, we'll eliminate him."

Gloria looked at Mike and said, "I'm glad you're on my side. Our sole goal now is to end Linda, no matter what it takes. As long as she's alive, my claim to the company isn't as strong as I want it to be." She patted Mike's shoulder. "I have my trust in you for that."

Mike nodded in agreement as Gloria left, both of them fully committed to their mission.

In the evening at a hotel, Richard examined the map of Prime Tech, remarking to himself, "It's quite big."

As he focused on the map, Linda walked in from the shower, her skin glowing as she dried her hair with a towel. Richard, captivated by her presence, was momentarily lost in admiration.

Noticing his distraction, Linda snapped at Richard, "Hey, have you had enough of your staring?"

Richard quickly came back to his senses and replied, "Oh, you're done. Well, I was looking at the map, and I noticed that in the golf center of the company, there's an entrance in the ground of the field that leads to the employees' side."

Linda sat on the bed next to him, still drying her hair, as they both examined the map, discussing their plan.

Linda, dressed in a singlet, sat close to Richard, who was still pondering how she had become so comfortable around him in such a short period of time.

She discussed their plan, pointing out, "The route from the employees' section to Gloria's office is a bit far. It'll take about 15 minutes, and once one employee spots us, it's game over. Remember, we're heading into the lion's den, so it's not safe to be seen."

They both recognized the high stakes and the importance of maintaining a low profile as they continued to strategize.

Linda and Richard continued their discussion. She suggested, "We should follow the path where the iron heaters stay. They have uniforms, so if we can acquire their uniforms and a map, we can follow the iron heaters' route, which connects to Gloria's secretary's office. You, Richard, will need to find a way to distract her and lead her out while I enter and gather the information we need."

Richard nodded and replied, "Yes, ma'am."

With their plan in place, they closed the map, went incognito by putting on hoods to avoid being recognized, and bought some food before returning to their room. After eating, it was time to sleep. Richard took a pillow and lay on the floor, while Linda rested on the bed.

After a few minutes of silence, Linda broke the quietude, "Hey, Richy, I never actually asked you. You could have just taken the money my dad gave you and started a new life, and no one would have known that you were supposed to look after me. Why did you come for me?"

Richard reflected for a moment and then replied with a smile, "I don't know, but all my life, one dream I had was to protect people, and protecting people is so much fun. I just wanted to be like my dad." He gazed at the ceiling, sharing his motivation for becoming a protector.

Linda, feeling unsatisfied with Richard's response but deciding not to press further, changed the topic. She urged him, "Why are you on the floor? Please come and stay on the bed with me. You can't look after me from there."

Richard, who was a bit shy and unsure, hesitated but then replied, "Oh, okay, here I can still look after you from here."

However, Linda wasn't having it. She went down to him, took his pillow, and insisted, "Come join me."

Seeing Linda's determination, Richard complied, and they both settled on the bed, with some distance between them as they lay facing the ceiling.

Linda broke the silence, saying, "I'm really glad to have you around."

Richard responded, "Me too."

As Linda drifted off to sleep, Richard noticed and used the blanket to cover her properly. He lay on the bed without one, watching over her as she rested he slept off too.
