MY PERFECT BODY GUARD 2 CHAPTER TWENTY TWO DANCING WITH DANGER
"Richard, you have to get out of there," Nina urged.
"I'm not leaving without her," Richard asserted as he approached Linda. "Hey, Linda, I know things have been strained between us, but I want to apologize sincerely. I know words may not be enough, but once you marry Franklin, things will change irreversibly. Let's leave here together."
"I'm not going anywhere with you," Linda declared firmly.
As the Falcon Fraternity approached the building, their leader, General Paul, wearing his mask, intercepted the makeup artist who had been with Linda before Richard's arrival.
"He's inside. He's trying to take her with him. I think he's telling her about the plan," the makeup artist reported urgently. Immediately, they armed themselves and raced towards the building.
Nina contacted Richard again through the board. "Hey, this is not looking good at all," Nina warned.
Seeing Linda's resistance, Richard made a decision. "You know what? I guess we have to do it the hard way."
Richard immediately lifted Linda onto his shoulders, but she protested, demanding to be put down. Her resistance slowed him down as the Falcon Fraternity members closed in on them.
"Put me down!" Linda insisted, hitting Richard, which further impeded his movement. The Falcon Fraternity members aimed their weapons at Richard, threatening to open fire if he took another step. Richard dropped Linda and raised his hands in surrender as the Falcon Fraternity approached him.
Meanwhile, Linda managed to free herself from Richard's grasp and fled as soon as she could, still in shock from the encounter with the masked men from the Falcon Fraternity.
As they drew closer, Paul picked up his phone and dialed Gideon's number. "Boss, we have him. What should we do?"
"Kill him and get a new head," Gideon's voice ordered firmly.
"OK, boss," Paul replied obediently.
Just as Paul prepared to pull the trigger, Richard intervened. "Hey, wait a second before you shoot. I want to ask you something," he said, raising his hands in surrender.
"And what would that be?" Paul inquired, his gun still pointed at Richard.
"Well, aren't we supposed to have last words before we die?" Richard asked, his voice steady despite the gravity of the situation.
"I guess so," Paul replied.
"Well, I just have one question," Richard said again.
"And what would that be?" Paul asked, his grip tightening on the gun.
"Do you actually think killing me will be that easy?" Richard challenged, his tone firm and unwavering.
Immediately after Richard spoke, Paul fired his gun, equipped with a silencer to avoid attracting attention, just like the rest of the Falcon Fraternity members who had silenced firearms. As Paul fired, Richard swiftly dodged and shoved Paul, causing him to drop his gun and fall hard to the ground.
Before the other men could react, they were bombarded by a barrage of laser fire from Richard's drone, catching them off guard and disrupting their attack.
Paul launched another attack on Richard, forced by the relentless assault of the drone on his men. With no other option, Paul attempted a hard punch at Richard, who skillfully dodged and countered with a powerful sweep kick, knocking Paul off his feet.
"Still got it," Richard remarked, his confidence unwavering as more men closed in on him. Determined to reach Linda, Richard swiftly made his way in the direction she had fled, with Paul hot on his heels, determined to prevent him from reaching her.
Richard continued running, feeling as though he had lost track of Linda in the chaos. He came to a halt and scanned the parking lot, calling out for Linda, but received no response. Suddenly, he heard footsteps approaching from behind and turned to find Paul standing there.
"Come on, man. How can you be this resilient? Please, give up. You're exhausting me," Richard urged, his voice tinged with frustration and exhaustion from the ongoing ordeal.
"You think you're sooo great, right? Let's go another round," Paul taunted as he raised his arm, preparing to strike.
"Well, there was never a round. If you're the head of this so-called dreaded Falcon Fraternity, then I have to admit your boss is not doing a great job at all. He should do better," Richard retorted, his words laced with defiance and disdain for Paul and his organization.
The words fueled anger within Paul as he charged towards Richard, screaming as he launched a furious attack. Despite Paul's relentless assault, Richard maintained his composure, evading every blow with the grace of a leaf blown away by the wind.
After several minutes of futile punching, Paul grew exhausted and stopped. "Why aren't you fighting back, Richard?" Paul asked, panting heavily.
"I'm saving my energy for something worth it," Richard replied calmly as Paul slumped to the floor, attempting to catch his breath. Meanwhile, Richard dashed outside the parking lot.
"Laura, can you do me a favor and send four drones to scan for Linda?" Richard requested urgently. "Also, send 10 drones to my location," he added as he raced out, determined to find Linda and ensure her safety.
As Richard emerged outside, he encountered five Falcons aiming their weapons at him.
"You haven't seen Linda, have you?" Richard challenged, his voice steady despite the imminent threat. Immediately, they opened fire, raining shots down on him.
Richard moved swiftly, dodging the incoming gunfire with lightning-fast reflexes. In a matter of moments, he subdued five of them with two decisive moves, employing a combination of kicks and punches to neutralize the threat.
As the drones continued to take out the Falcon Fraternity members, Laura interjected urgently.
"Richard, I'm sorry to say this, but 15 buses of the Falcon Fraternity are on their way here," Laura informed him.
"Seriously, 15? All that for me?" Richard exclaimed incredulously.
Without hesitation, Richard dashed through the stairs as the Falcon Fraternity pursued him to the top of the building. Seeing them approaching, he urgently contacted Nina.
"Hey, Nina, you need to get out of here," Richard instructed.
"What about you, Richard?" Nina inquired worriedly.
"Don't worry about me. Just drive out now," Richard reassured her as he started racing along the edge of the building with the Falcons in pursuit.
Reaching the narrow end of the building, Richard came to a stop. "Surrender! You have no place to run to," the Falcons commanded, aiming their weapons at him.
"Who said so?" Richard retorted defiantly before plunging off the building, startling the Falcons and leaving them stunned.
As the Falcons raced to the edge of the building to see why Richard had dropped off, they were greeted by an astonishing sight: wings made out of propellers emerged from his bag, and Richard began to fly away at incredible speed.
"What the heck?" one of the Falcons exclaimed, disbelief evident in his voice, as they watched Richard soar into the sky, leaving them behind in utter bewilderment.
After hours of chaos and confusion, the police stormed into the hotel to ensure that things were under control. As they arrived, Franklin approached Linda, who was speaking with the police, and went to hug her.
"I hope you're okay, sweetie," Franklin said with concern.
"Who are those men in Falcon masks?" Linda asked, her voice tinged with anxiety and determination.
"I will explain to you later, after the wedding," Franklin replied, attempting to brush off the question.
"I need to know now," Linda fired back, her resolve unwavering as she demanded answers.
"Okay, they are my men. I sent them here to look after you, to protect you," Franklin explained, his tone reassuring but guarded.
"And I'm sorry for not being here," Richard said sincerely.
"It's okay," Linda replied, accepting his apology with a nod of understanding.
With the tensions momentarily eased, they continued with the wedding ceremony. As they exchanged vows and signed the courtship binding their property together, Linda officially became a Mariano, marking a new chapter in her life.
As Linda entered into marriage, she found herself grappling with a newfound sense of insecurity and distrust. Despite the union with Franklin, doubts and suspicions crept into her mind, causing her to question the intentions of those around her.
