MY PERFECT BODYGUARD 2 CHAPTER THIRTY TWO THE FLIES ENTANGLED IN THE SPIDER WEB

BeforeVictor departed after resolving the differences among the four friends, he shared some crucial information with them. Gideon plans to convene a meeting with the board of directors and shareholders of Prime Tech. The agenda is to negotiate the sale of their shares to Gideon, and notably, I won't be present at the meeting.

Additionally, based on information I acquired, it appears that Gideon intends to minimize security presence at the meeting to avoid drawing attention to himself. It's a secret gathering, and he's taking steps to reduce his security detail, with fewer Falcons expected to be present to protect him.

"Victor, when exactly is this meeting taking place?" Emmanuel inquired, his eyes narrowing with determination. "This could be the perfect opportunity to apprehend Gideon. With reduced security and the element of surprise on our side, he won't see us coming."

"Victor said the meeting is tomorrow at noon," Emmanuel relayed, his voice tense with urgency. "We need to act fast and eliminate Gideon before we bid farewell to Prime Tech."

Gathering around, Emmanuel, Nina, Richard, and Linda began to strategize.

"If we're going to do this, we need to plan meticulously," Richard emphasized. "First, we should head to the mall. There's a secret ammunition shop underground where we can acquire the tools and weapons we'll need for the operation."

As they geared up to leave for the mall, it only took moments for them to assemble at the front of the house. They piled into Nina's car, anticipation thick in the air as they drove towards their destination.

Upon arriving at the mall, they swiftly made their way inside. "Nina and I will head to the weapons section," Emmanuel declared, taking charge of the plan. "Meanwhile, you two," he gestured to Richard and Linda, "can focus on purchasing food, beverages, and some clothes."

With their tasks assigned, they dispersed throughout the mall to carry out their respective duties.

Richard noticed Linda's discomfort as she hesitated at the sanitary pads section, her desire to purchase them evident but her shyness apparent. Sensing her unease, Richard decided to take action.

"Hey, Linda, why don't you go grab the pasta over there? I'll take care of this," Richard suggested with a reassuring smile. As Linda covered her face in embarrassment, Richard reached out and discreetly added the sanitary pads to their cart.

Linda peeked through her fingers, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. "Should you really be showing off your skills in reading people like that?" she joked, attempting to lighten the mood.

"Hey, I got something for you," Richard announced, catching Linda's attention.

"What is it?" Linda asked, curiosity piqued.

"Just close your eyes," Richard instructed gently.

Linda complied, feeling a sense of anticipation. Suddenly, she felt something cold against her neck.

"You can open your eyes now," Richard said softly.

As Linda opened her eyes, she was met with the sight of a beautiful necklace resting against her skin.

"Wow, it's stunning," Linda exclaimed, reaching out to touch it. Overwhelmed with emotion, she wrapped her arms around Richard in a heartfelt hug.

"This is the first time I've ever received a gift from someone," she admitted, her voice filled with gratitude and warmth.

"The first time?" Richard echoed, feeling a pang of guilt. "I'm sorry if I haven't been a good guy to you."

Linda shook her head quickly, her eyes filled with sincerity. "No, no, no. I mean, I'm glad you did something like this. It makes me feel really special to you," she reassured him.

"You have always been special," Richard said softly, pulling her into another hug, his remorse dissipating in the warmth of their connection.

After completing their shopping, they reconvened in front of the mall. As they headed home, they cooked a meal together, preparing to put an end to Gideon's reign of terror once and for all.

As the morning sun streamed through the windows, casting a warm glow in the room, the four friends were already prepared and eagerly awaiting the appointed hour to begin their mission. However, as they gathered in the sitting room, they realized that Richard was conspicuously absent.

Concerned, they searched the house and eventually found Richard in the midst of an intense workout, his fists flying as he relentlessly pummeled a punching bag, sweat glistening on his brow.

"Hey, bro, you've gotta take it easy," Emmanuel said, approaching him with a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "You seem to be panicking at the situation."

"I need to be ready," Richard replied, his voice determined. "I don't want to fail again this time around. I want to end it all today."

As Richard continued to punch the bag, his breaths coming in short, frantic gasps, Linda approached him with concern etched on her face. Without hesitation, she reached out and gently halted his movements, pulling him into a tight embrace.

"Hey, we will do this together," Linda whispered, her voice filled with determination. "We will end it all."

Richard leaned into her embrace, his heart racing with both adrenaline and fear. "I just want you to be safe," he confessed, his voice trembling slightly. "The thought of him trying to take you out scares me a lot."

Linda held him even tighter, her own fears momentarily pushed aside as she focused on comforting him. "I'll do whatever it takes to keep us safe," she promised, her words a silent vow to stand by his side no matter what.

As they made their way to the company, their minds were focused on the meticulously planned sneak attack at the meeting. Passing through the workers' lounge, they exchanged determined glances, their resolve unwavering as they headed towards the board of directors meeting room.

Their hearts pounded with anticipation as they entered the room where Victor had informed them Gideon should be. With every step, they braced themselves for the confrontation that awaited, ready to take Gideon by surprise

As they stepped into the room, a sense of confusion washed over them. The space was eerily empty, devoid of the expected presence of board members or Gideon himself.

"No one is here," Richard remarked, his brow furrowed in confusion. "Or are we in the wrong room?"

Linda scanned the room, her expression puzzled. "Well, this is clearly where the board of directors meeting is supposed to be held," she confirmed, her voice tinged with uncertainty.

"Well, well, well, I didn't know a smart and elegant Linda would catch the bait. Well, I'm glad you did," Gideon's voice cut through the silence as he emerged from a dim corner of the room, his presence commanding attention.

His unexpected appearance sent a chill down their spines, realizing they had walked right into his trap. Gideon's smug demeanor only fueled their determination to thwart his plans and bring him to justice.

"Gideon," Richard said, his voice steady as he drew his arrow from the rack and prepared to strike.

Gideon raised his hands in a gesture of warning. "If I were you, I wouldn't do that," he cautioned. "And for your information, I have about 154 Falcons on these grounds, especially 42 right in this room."

A sense of dread washed over them as a large number of armed men closed in around them, outnumbering them significantly. Gideon's smirk only added insult to injury as he taunted them with the odds stacked against them.

"Let's see the famous and legendary Richard beat the odds," Gideon challenged.

"Wanna bet?" Richard retorted defiantly.

"It seems Victor set us up," Nina observed grimly.

"Clearly he did," Emma agreed, his tone bitter with betrayal.

"You actually think he would go against me? I thought of a way to get both of you, Richard and Linda. It seems you brought company too," Gideon sneered, his confidence unwavering.

"Why would you trick us into coming here? I thought all you wanted was my death," Linda demanded, her voice tinged with frustration and disbelief.

"Well, I've improvised. I think I know a way to get what I want without the stress of trying to kill you, because no matter how I try, your boyfriend will fight no matter the odds. So, there's a change of plan," Gideon explained, a calculating glint in his eyes.

"And what should it be?" Linda pressed, her patience wearing thin.

"Honey, where's the fun if I spoil it for you before it's even getting started?" Gideon replied with a sinister smile, reveling in the anticipation of his twisted game.

As two Falcon men swiftly approached Richard, overpowering him and pinning him down, a sense of dread filled the room. One of them brandished a long sword, while the other held Richard's head firmly against the table.

Meanwhile, Gideon produced a set of documents and passed them to Linda with a sinister grin.

"It's simple," he declared, his voice dripping with malice. "If you sign those documents, it will automatically make the company mine. Otherwise, I'll butcher your boyfriend right before your eyes."

Linda's heart pounded in her chest as she faced an impossible choice, her mind racing with the weight of the decision before her.
