MY PERFECT BODYGUARD 2 CHAPTER THIRTY THREE GIDEONS GAMBIT
As Richard found himself with the sharp edge of a large sword pressing against his neck, beads of sweat began to form on his forehead. Despite the intense pressure and fear coursing through him, he struggled to maintain his composure.
Gideon's voice cut through the tense atmosphere, his patience wearing thin. "I believe I've made myself quite clear," he stated firmly, his tone dripping with menace. "Linda, either sign those papers now or witness the end of your beloved boyfriend."
Linda's heart raced as she faced an impossible choice, her mind racing with the weight of the decision before her.
Emmanuel, already in a panic, looked at Linda urgently. "Linda, please sign it! What on earth are you waiting for?" he said, growing impatient. Linda turned to Gideon, questioning, "If I sign this, do you promise not to bother us again? I mean, what are the odds of that? If I do sign it, will we leave here alive?"
"I can assure you, my only aim is this company, not to shed any blood. Just sign the damn papers, free yourself of the burden to fight for it, and I'll let you all leave to wander anywhere you want," Gideon asserted. Linda, tensing up, replied firmly, "You have to convince me before I can sign it." At that moment, Gideon lost his composure. He pulled out a pistol from his cloak and pressed it against Richard's head. "Imagine telling me to convince you. I'm the one with the decisions, and you have to follow the orders," Gideon said menacingly as he cocked the pistol, ready to shoot.
"I'm telling you again, sign it, or I'll blow out the daylight in his head," Gideon said, fuming.
"Okay, okay, I will sign it," Linda said, hurrying to the papers and signing every single one of them. "The company is now yours. Happy now? Now Let' us go," Linda said.
Gideon pulled back his pistol and stuffed it back into his cloak, walked to the desk, and checked the signed papers to verify and ensure she had signed everything. "Nice," he said. "But unfortunately, you can leave, but the boy is not leaving with you."
"What are you kidding me? We had an agreement; you would let us all leave. Why are you going back on your word?" Linda said.
"Going back on my word?" Gideon said. "You're still lucky that I'm letting you leave. Believe me, that's incredibly generous of me. If I wanted to..."
"Please, Gideon, don't do this," Nina pleaded. "Please, just let him go. Please, we are begging you." Emma interjected, "And by the way, why are you holding him back?" Gideon smirked, walking to a picture of Jim on the wall.
"That's a brilliant question," he remarked. "Eighty-four, I mean eighty-four members of the Falcon Fraternity have been hospitalized because of him. Before, I used to be feared and worshipped. People saw me as a god. I had no weakness until he showed up. Now I have to let people know that I have him now, and it should put my reputation back on track again."
"And that will be the end. Torture him, and maybe decide if he might live or not. Also, this will be the last answer to any of your questions. Now, leave," Gideon ordered as the Falcons started charging at them.
"Hey guys, you should leave. I will be fine," Richard said, despite the circumstances.
"But I can't let you go like that," Linda protested.
"Don't worry about me. It's gonna be fine," Richard assured them with a smile. "Please, just go."
Linda gazed at Richard, torn. "Don't worry, I will fix this," she said as she left with Nina and Emmanuel.
Immediately, the Falcons charged at Richard, beating him up. After several beatings, they tied him up and threw him into their van, driving out of the company, while Gideon stayed to take care of things.
As Linda reached their apartment, she burst into tears. "I can't believe I signed those. It's all my fault. If something ever happens to him," she said, crying furiously. Nina went to her and gave her a tight hug. "Hey, it's okay. You did all you can. It's not your fault. Please don't blame yourself," Nina said, comforting her.
Emmanuel went to his room and banged the door. Nina noticed and pulled away from Linda. "Hey, have a seat. I'll be back," she said as she went to Emmanuel's room. As she opened it, she asked, "What are you up to?"
"We have to improvise. We have to get back there and take Richard back. We need a plan," Emmanuel said, his anger evident as he typed on his bed.
"We can't just walk away like that. I mean, he's been saving us if we are in trouble, and I don't know if we are good enough to save him. Why am I this useless?" Emmanuel expressed his frustration.
"You're not useless. That's why we need a plan to take him back," Nina reassured Emmanuel. As they were discussing, Linda entered the room. "You're right. We have to strike to show them we are not that useless," she affirmed. They all agreed and sat down to plan ahead.
Richard, after being taken away, opened his eyes to find himself in a different location, away from the company. His head was bleeding, and he groaned in pain. As he raised his head, he saw a large number of Falcons in the basement, with Gideon approaching him.
"It's really an honor to have caught you, with the kind of history you have had. If I tell the world that I killed you, they will seem to fear me more," Gideon said with a sinister grin.
"But if I do kill you, wouldn't that be a waste of talent?" Gideon pondered aloud. "You defeated Gloria and most of my Falcons. To be honest, that was insane. I mean, single-handedly, you ended her empire and caused an upset to mine. You're really something; I'll give you that. That's why I would want you to join my fraternity," he said, extending the offer.
Richard couldn't help but laugh hysterically. "I'm sorry," Gideon said, puzzled by Richard's reaction. "Did I say anything funny?" he asked, his face turning mean.
Richard raised his head slowly. "You must think I'm stupid to even consider joining that irritating group of yours, which has only caused nothing but havoc in people's lives. And for your information, I only fight for one person, and that's Linda. Case closed," he asserted firmly.
In anger, Gideon stood up, pulled his pistol, and shot Richard in the leg. Richard let out a hard scream of pain.
