MY PERFECT BODY GUARD CHAPTER FORTY ONE: DECEPTIVE ALLIANCE

Amidst the impending chaos, Gloria, who should have been under intense pressure, appeared unruffled in her office. Sipping from a bottle of wine in a crystal glass, she maintained a composed demeanor, concealing any hint of vulnerability from the watchful eyes of politicians. Despite her outward calm, an internal storm brewed as she contemplated the upcoming confrontation with her buyers, particularly Lucas and Victor. While her exterior displayed calmness, inside, she seethed with frustration, devising plans for the impending showdown.

Grabbing her phone, Gloria summoned Mike into her office. Once he entered, she rose from her seat, restlessly pacing as she instructed him to sit down. Expressing her indifference towards the fate of the politicians, she emphasized her concern for uncovering the mystery behind the vanished money.

"While I may not be bothered about the politicians, I need to get to the bottom of this disappearing money," Gloria stated. Describing the efforts undertaken, she revealed, "We initiated a search party across the city, and even the police are investigating. Strangely, there's no clue. It's as if the van simply vanished. Frankly, I'm already perplexed by the whole situation."Mike said 

"We're confronting Lucas and Victor. Gather the men, well-armed; we're paying Lucas a visit for a grand entrance," Gloria declared as Mike prepared to leave. Just then, Gloria's phone rang again, and it was the mayor.

"I've been calling you for days, and you ignore me. Do you take me for a fool?" the mayor fumed.

Gloria, unshaken, replied, "What do you want?"

"Where is our money? The club is losing patience," the mayor demanded.

Gloria chuckled, "I've told you, I sent your money. I needed someone to blame. Don't threaten me; I don't know what happened to your money. You're starting a war you can't win. Get me my money unless you want action."

The mayor warned, "You're playing with fire, Gloria. If it starts, you won't win."

Enraged, Gloria smashed her phone, turning to Mike. "Assemble the men and head to Lucas's house. I have somewhere to be," she said, storming away from the office.

As Mike carried out his mission, Gloria headed to the Eagles, a renowned private security firm known for their intimidating reputation. Upon entering their building, she inquired about the boss and was directed to Lieutenant Philips Joe. A former soldier, Joe exuded an air of toughness.

Gloria, determined to strike a deal, offered Joe a city. Seated in his office, she handed him a cheque for 100,000,000 dollars, a fraction of what she promised if he aided her.

"I need your help; I have enemies ready to start a war. I want to be prepared," Gloria explained, her demeanor unwavering.

Philips smiled and responded, "To tighten your security, you'll need around 150 men. You've paid for them, and they'll be at your disposal for almost 8 months."

"That will be enough," Gloria said, satisfied with the assembled security team from the Eagles. As they headed towards Lucas's house, Gloria briefed Lieutenant Philips Joe about the missing billions, potentially linked to Lucas. The security team, fully armed and suited up, had uniforms bearing Gloria's name and an eagle symbol.

Upon arrival, they found Mike and other security personnel already present. Lucas was taken aback as approximately 250 men surrounded his house. They swiftly subdued him, tying him to a chair in his basement.

Gloria approached Lucas, demanding answers about the vanished money from their previous business. Despite Gloria's threats, Lucas professed ignorance, claiming he had no knowledge of the funds.

After minutes of torture, Lucas remained steadfast in his denial. Frustrated, Gloria received a call from the police informing her about CCTV footage showing a different person inside the van during the reported incident. To her surprise, Linda was revealed as the culprit.

Enraged, Gloria fumed, "This little witch! How do they keep doing this?" Realizing her time at Lucas's house was futile, Gloria vowed to settle the score with Linda. As they left Lucas's house, Gloria was determined to confront Linda and bring an end to the ongoing deception.
