MY PERFECT BODY GUARD CHAPTER FORTY SIX :DECEPTIVE ENCOUNTERS AND UNEXPECTED BLOWS
The revised strategy aligns with our previous approach, but this time, we'll incorporate the press to address the current situation. Considering Gloria's influence over the police, journalists are the only individuals we can rely on to disseminate information effectively, Linda conveyed to Victor.
"What precisely will the press be disseminating?" Victor inquired. "They will be highlighting that she is responsible for Jim's and Samuel's deaths. If this news spreads, it might compel the CIA to investigate the situation," Linda explained.
"How do we plan to obtain solid evidence?" Victor chuckled. "Miss Jim, let me remind you, Gloria commands the most powerful empire in the city. To outsmart her, we need to be somewhat ahead," he added.
"That's precisely why we must reach out to Richard," Linda emphasized. "I want to meet him first, hear it from him directly, and understand if there's resentment."
Victor questioned, "What if he does resent you? Do you have a plan B?"
Linda replied determinedly, "If that's the case, then I'll face this war alone."
"Alone? I'm with you now," Victor declared. "So, I suggest we take the fight to Gloria or bring her to us," he continued, receiving a nod of agreement from Linda.
"But how do we make Gloria come to us or draw Richard out?" Victor inquired.
"I am the one she wants. I'll lure her out, and your men can be strategically positioned. If Richard shows up, we can plan a sneak attack," Linda proposed.
"Sneak attacking your boyfriend? Now, this is getting interesting," Victor remarked, letting out a laugh.
"Luring Richard and the other bodyguards is risky; they might overpower us. I suggest we take the fight to him," Victor proposed. After planning and preparing, Linda, Victor, and 12 others in disguise headed to the company. At the first gate, Victor hesitated and decided to wait outside.
"If things go wrong, alert us. We'll try rescuing. But if you get caught, I was never here," Victor said, waiting with his men as Linda entered the company.
After walking around for some minutes, Linda, disguised, encountered security. When they asked her to stop, she remained silent. When they forcefully removed her cape, revealing her identity, Linda panicked. She kicked one of them and raced off, triggering alarms. Victor, outside, opted not to get caught, speeding away with his men.
Linda, running from the pursuers, sought Richard, her last hope. As she exited, realizing Victor had left without her, the remaining men betrayed her. Guns pointed at her, Richard emerged from the crowd, treating Linda as a stranger.
Richard stared at Linda in confusion,
Who are you
Aren't you alittle bit young to be a theif ?? Richard asked
Richard it's really you your alive Linda said in tears
a cloud of uncertainty hanging over his expression. "Who do you say you were?" he asked, his tone reflecting the struggle to connect with the memories buried in the past. Linda, tears streaming down her face, pleaded, "It's me, Richy. Don't you remember? I really have a lot to say to you. I'm just glad you're alive."
Before Richard could respond, Mike emerged from behind and delivered a forceful blow, sending Linda into unconsciousness. As she collapsed, the gravity of the situation intensified. Richard, still grappling with the unexpected encounter, looked at Mike with a mix of confusion and concern.
"What did you do that for?" Richard demanded, his voice revealing hints of frustration and disbelief.
Mike, seemingly unfazed, responded, "She could be a threat. We can't trust strangers, especially in a place like this."
"But she knew me. She called me Richy," Richard protested, his thoughts muddled by the sudden turn of events.
Mike remained stoic. "Sometimes people use tactics to deceive. We can't afford to take chances."
Meanwhile, Victor and his men, unaware of the unfolding drama inside the company, sped away in their van. The betrayal had left Linda at the mercy of Richard and Mike, with the true nature of their alliance still uncertain.
