MY PERFECT BODYGUARD CHAPTER FORTY TWO:MOST PERFECT BODY GUARD
In a throwback to when Shun was disqualified from bodyguard training, he packed his bag as Richard entered the room. "I'm so sorry you didn't make it," Richard expressed with a somber tone.
"It's okay, Richard. I'm just glad you're still here," Shun replied reassuringly. "Promise me you'll succeed," Shun asked, and they embraced.
"I promise. Once I become a bodyguard, I'll visit you," Shun said, handing Richard a note with his location. "I'll definitely come see you one day," Richard affirmed.

In the hotel room, Linda was restlessly pacing, her patience wearing thin, while Richard lounged on the bed, munching on chips, looking oblivious to the situation.
"Hey, Linda, you need to relax," Richard suggested.
"Something should have happened by now," Linda replied, frustration evident in her tone.
"We've stirred up chaos; now, it's up to the politicians to pull the police away from her," Richard explained.
"But it seems it didn't work," Linda remarked, cutting him off before he could console her.
As Richard attempted to calm her, Linda hushed him, saying, "Don't tell me such things again. You don't know what it feels like to have a lot to fight for."
Offended, Richard stood up, expressing, "But I'm in this fight with you. I can't believe you'd say such a thing," and he left the room.
"I need to get more chips. I'll be back," Richard added, grabbing his hoodie and exiting.
Descending the stairs, Richard left Linda alone. After a few minutes, Linda's solitude was interrupted by a call from an unexpected source—the police commissioner. Surprised, she answered, "Hello, am I talking to Linda?"
Linda paused briefly before responding with a hesitant "Yes, yes."
"So, you're still alive. Thank goodness. We've been trying to reach out to you," the commissioner remarked. "We've been investigating the Dr. Jim case, your dad, and we'd like you to come to the station and provide a statement. We've uncovered Gloria's schemes and plots, but we need solid evidence to bring her down. Can you help us with that?" he asked.
Excitement bubbling in her throat, Linda replied, "Of course, I can do that."
"Come to the station by 12 noon, and don't be late," the commissioner instructed before ending the call. "Of course, I won't," Linda affirmed as she hung up, her mind buzzing with the impending confrontation with Gloria and the chance to expose her deceit.
Returning to the room with chips in hand, Richard noticed the excitement on Linda's face. "What's making you so happy?" he asked, munching on his chips.
"In no time, I'm getting my company back," Linda replied, a smile playing on her lips.
"Wow, that was quick. How did that happen so fast?" Richard inquired.
"The commissioner of police just called and told me to come and write my statement on Gloria. The police wants to press charges on her," Linda explained.
"Isn't that a little bit soon? Just a week ago, we took care of the van, and now everything is moving so fast," Richard expressed his concern.
Angry, Linda snapped, "How dare you say I'm a fool?"
Shocked, Richard asked, "When did I say that?"
"I've been the one planning every move, and all of a sudden, you think I don't know what I'm doing," Linda retorted. "I don't blame you; if you had something worth fighting for, you would understand better."
Offended again, Richard defended himself, "What's wrong with you? All I'm suggesting is that this might be too early for something like this to happen. What does it have to do with me not understanding anything?"
Linda pressed on, "So, what's your point, Richard?"
"All I'm saying is that I care a lot about you. I don't know if this is a trap," Richard confessed, realizing the intensity of the situation.
As tension escalated, Richard realized he had developed feelings for Linda and feared she might abandon him once she reclaimed her company. Linda, on the other hand, perceived the depth of Richard's concerns.
"If you want to go to the police, go. I'm a wanted man, so I don't think it's a great idea to be seen there," Richard stated, retreating into the bathroom. Alone, he washed his face, looking at himself in the mirror, muttering, "I can't believe she said that to me."
Remaining furious with Richard, Linda chose to stay silent in the room, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. As noon approached, Linda changed into different clothes and left for the police station.
Upon arrival, she found the environment strangely lonely. Undeterred, Linda proceeded and informed the secretary, "I'm here to write a statement. I was asked to come by the commissioner—Linda Jim."
The secretary, after a brief pause, informed someone over the phone about Linda's presence and instructed her to wait. As Linda sat for about an hour, a growing unease settled in. Suddenly, screeching tires filled the air, and Mike appeared, racing towards her. Linda attempted to escape, but Mike caught up, delivering a harsh slap. Gloria followed, labeling Linda a "little witch" before assaulting her further.
"Get her into the car. Killing her here won't sound good," Gloria ordered, and Linda was forcefully taken towards a van. However, before they could complete the abduction, an arrow punctured three of the van's tires. The assailants turned to see Richard, who swiftly incapacitated them with his remarkable skills.
Seizing the opportunity, Richard helped Linda to her feet, her head bleeding from the assault. Concerned, Richard urged her to leave, handing her an address. "This belongs to an old friend of mine. He will help you. Stay put for the meantime."
As they spoke, the situation escalated. Richard, outnumbered, confronted the pursuing men, dodging bullets and returning fire. Determined to protect Linda, Richard fought valiantly, but Mike managed to land shots on his left shoulder and leg. Richard collapsed to the ground and couldn't move showing no signs of struggle.
