MY PERFECT BODYGUARD CHAPTER TWENTY ONE :TRIALS OF STRENGTH
The boxing arena was buzzing with anticipation as the trainees gathered for their hand-to-hand combat trials. The air was thick with tension, and the stakes were high. Mike, the formidable force of the program, was set to face Shun, the lean and agile underdog The odds were seemingly stacked against Shun, but as they say, it's not always the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog.
Shun took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing heart as he stepped into the ring. The crowd hushed, and all eyes were on him. Mike, on the other side of the ring, cracked his knuckles with a confident grin. It was a classic David vs. Goliath scenario.
The referee signaled the start of the match, and Shun moved with surprising agility, circling Mike cautiously. He knew he couldn't afford to let Mike get too close. Mike, aware of his strength advantage, stalked forward, his steps slow and deliberate.
Shun's strategy was clear – avoid direct confrontation, strike quickly, and use his agility to his advantage. He darted in and out, landing a few quick jabs and keeping Mike off balance. The crowd began to cheer for the underdog, impressed by Shun's speed and precision.
But Mike was relentless. He swung with power, narrowly missing Shun a couple of times but sending shockwaves through the air with each punch. Shun couldn't keep up this dance forever, and fatigue began to set in. His movements slowed, and he felt the weight of Mike's impending victory bearing down on him.
As minutes turned into what felt like hours, Mike finally landed a solid blow, sending Shun sprawling to the canvas. The crowd gasped, fearing it was all over for Shun. With immense effort, Shun tried to rise, but he was too exhausted and disoriented to continue.
Yield!" the referee shouted.
With a heavy heart, Shun conceded the match, acknowledging Mike's victory. The crowd, although disappointed for Shun, applauded both fighters for their valiant effort.
Richard was soo sad but he kept he's head up for he's turn
Now, all eyes were on the next bout, the most anticipated match of all. Richard, known for his stubbornness and resilience, was set to face off against Kelvin, the imposing force of the program. The tension in the arena was palpable as these two titans prepared to clash.
Richard had watched Shun's valiant effort and felt a surge of motivation. If Shun could put up such a fight against Mike, then Richard believed he could overcome the odds as well. Kelvin, on the other hand, wore a confident smirk. He had never been defeated before, and he didn't intend for that to change.
The match began, and the two warriors circled each other, sizing up their opponent. Kelvin made the first move, launching a powerful kick that Richard narrowly dodged. It was clear that Kelvin's strength was unmatched, but Richard had a plan.
For the first part of the match, Kelvin dominated. His blows were relentless, and Richard found himself on the receiving end of a brutal beating. Blood trickled down his face, his body aching from the powerful blows. The crowd watched in a mix of shock and concern as Richard struggled to stay on his feet.
But Richard's stubbornness and determination refused to let him quit. He drew upon every ounce of his willpower and resilience. As Kelvin prepared for a final, crushing blow, Richard seized the moment. He sidestepped Kelvin's attack, causing the powerful trainee to stumble slightly.
In that split second, Richard lunged forward and, with all the strength he could muster, wrapped his leg around Kelvin's neck. The arena fell silent as the impossible unfolded. Richard had managed to catch Kelvin off-guard, locking him in a tight hold.
Kelvin struggled, his face turning red as he fought to break free. Richard's determination was unwavering. He knew he couldn't match Kelvin's strength, but he could outwit him. The crowd held its collective breath as Kelvin's struggles grew weaker.
"Yield!" the referee shouted.
With his oxygen running out and defeat inevitable, Kelvin tapped out. The arena erupted in cheers as Richard released him. Richard had done the impossible, defeating Kelvin through sheer determination and strategy.
Richard, his own face smeared with blood and sweat, ignored their pleas. He stood over Kelvin, panting heavily but refusing to back down. With bloodshot eyes and a voice that trembled with exhaustion.
The trainees watched in awe as Richard's unyielding spirit shone through. It was a test of endurance and determination, and Richard was determined to prove himself. With one final push, he forced Kelvin to tap out, claiming victory in one of the most intense battles of the trials.
Richard stood victorious, his body battered and bruised, but his spirit unbroken. The crowd cheered his name, and even Kelvin, while still catching his breath, nodded in respect.
In that moment, Richard had proven that strength came in many forms, and sometimes, it was the strength of will that triumphed above all else. The trials of strength had revealed not only the physical prowess of the trainees but also their resilience and determination to succeed. The top twenty had been chosen, and they were ready to face the challenges that lay ahead.
