PERFECT BODYGUARD CHAPTER TWENTY NINE: A DANGEROUS REVELATION

Jim, realizing that the communication devices had become unresponsive, grew increasingly concerned. Fearing that a dangerous situation might be unfolding, he swiftly retrieved his secondary communication device and urgently contacted Richard.

Meanwhile, in a metalworking shop where Richard was diligently crafting a sword, beads of sweat glistened on his forehead. His dedication to keeping the device close to him paid off when he received the incoming signal. Without hesitation, he set aside his work, wiped the sweat from his brow, and hastily left his workplace.

"Apologies, Boss, but I'll be right back," Richard exclaimed as he hurriedly departed from his work area.

Jim, now securely tied to a chair within the dimly lit warehouse, watched as Gloria advanced with a sinister grin. She took a seat on another chair positioned directly across

"Jim, Jim, Jim," she taunted, her laughter laced with cruelty. "I genuinely believed we were in for a challenge, but I never imagined it would be this effortless. You're as feeble as I had suspected all along. How in the world did you oversee this company for all these years with such a glaring weakness?" Gloria sneered.

Gloria's words cut through the tense air in the warehouse as she continued her taunts. "You can't even manage to earn the loyalty and devotion of your subordinates, let alone make them staunchly loyal to you. Convincing them to turn their backs on you was merely the tip of the iceberg, and it wasn't a difficult task at all. Even your own board of directors, Jim."

Her voice dripped with disdain as she posed the question once more, her eyes locked onto Jim. "So, I must ask again, Jim. How on earth have you sustained this company when your weaknesses are so glaringly apparent?"

Jim, his voice resolute, countered Gloria's taunts. "I don't rule by instilling fear in the people around me, Gloria, because when you do, they act out of place. You might believe that power is everything, but let me enlighten you: you're mistaken. Sooner or later, if those around you find someone who can offer them more, they'll betray you. It's just a matter of time."

His words held a deep sense of wisdom, and in this dire situation, he sought to convey the value of trust and respect over fear and manipulation.

.Gloria's laughter echoed through the warehouse, and she continued with a sinister tone. "You know, Jim, you remind me so much of your father. I loved him, but it seemed he loved your mother more. That's when I began plotting to take everything away from you. Your mother couldn't conceive a child, so he married me, and soon after, I gave him a firstborn son to carry on his legacy."

She leaned closer, her voice dripping with bitterness. "Then, your mother finally gave birth to you, and he shoved us aside, hidden in the shadows. You're just like your father, Jim, evil and selfish. Everything you've ever done, you did for yourself. As much as you later inherited that company you never deserved, I can't stand by and let a girl take what's rightfully mine. You and your mother didn't deserve anything."

Jim, attempting to understand his dire situation, questioned Gloria, "Why have you brought me here?"

Gloria's chilling response sent a shiver down his spine, "I brought you here to end you."

Jim, however, pushed back, fully aware of the potential consequences. "You know you can't do that, Gloria. If news gets out that I'm missing, the police will launch an investigation. You might have escaped scrutiny regarding Sam's death, with people believing it was just an unfortunate accident, but I won't be so easily erased."

Gloria, with a sinister grin, countered, "You're mistaken, Jim. I've planned this meticulously. The police commissioner is under my control. You might think I'm foolish, but I'm far from it. We'll make it seem like you died on a car to feed the press with something , and then your daughter will tragically take her own life."

The tension between the two adversaries escalated, with Jim desperately trying to outmaneuver Gloria's sinister scheme.

As Jim struggled to free himself from the chair, he couldn't hide his fury. "What do you mean by my daughter? Don't drag her into this!" he protested, his anger evident. "How dare you bring my daughter into your twisted plans?"

Gloria, seemingly unfazed, urged him to calm down. "Relax, Jim. You might hurt yourself in your attempts to break free."

With a chilling indifference, she continued, "As it stands, someone is already on their way to your daughter's school to do what needs to be done. Once your supposed demise takes place, a few hours later, we'll bring her to the same fate."

Her smile was cold and calculating as she revealed the extent of her ruthless intentions.

Linda and her friends sat beneath a tree at their high school, engaged in a lively discussion about their classmates. One of her friends expressed her admiration for a student named Ward, praising his looks and popularity.

"He's the hottest guy in school," she said, "rich, popular, and incredibly good-looking."

However, another friend disagreed, describing Ward as a jerk and toxic. "We can't afford to add that guy to our to-do list," she remarked, showing concern about his character.

Amidst the ongoing debate, Linda was lost in her own thoughts, her mind far from the conversation as she worried about her father. One of her friends noticed her distant demeanor and gently inquired, "Hey, Linda, are you okay?"

Linda looked at her friends and assured them with a smile, "It's nothing, trust me."

Concerned, Amila persisted, "You've seemed off for the past two weeks, and you don't look well. Please, talk to us."

Linda reassured them, "It's not about a boy, I promise."

Amila, determined to cheer her up, suggested, "Let's talk about your dream guy. We'll write it down, and once we see him, we'll go for it."

Linda considered her ideal partner and shared, "Well, he's going to be sweet and protective. I really don't care about abs and hotness. I just want him to be obsessed with me being okay."

Amila smiled and jotted down Linda's description. As they chatted, a determined figure in a bulletproof vest, black trousers, and shoes moved through the school premises. It was Richard, holding a picture of Linda in his hands, seeking information from people to locate her. It was Richard, holding a picture of Linda in his hands, seeking information from people to locate her. Eventually, he received a lead pointing him in the direction of where Linda might be.

Approaching Linda and her friends, Richard looked at Linda and asked, "Can I have a word with you?"

Amila, still convinced it was about a boy, playfully commented, "Guess it was all about a boy."

Linda smiled and corrected her, "It's not a boy." She then followed Richard to a more secluded area.

In a hushed tone, Richard began to explain the situation, "In as much as there's no time to explain it all, I believe your life is in danger. Your father, Jim, assigned me to ensure your safety. I understand you don't know me, but we need to leave here."

Linda was understandably skeptical, "I don't even know you, and you expect me to just follow you?"

Richard understood her hesitation and showed her a picture of herself, asking if it belonged to her. He continued, "I know you don't trust me. I would be the same in your shoes. But your dad provided me with this picture to find you. Also, that earring you're wearing has a GPS in it. Your dad wanted you to wear it all the time, right?"

Linda was taken aback, realizing her father's dedication to her safety. She asked, "Where is he?"

Richard replied, "I don't know for now, but once we get out of here, we'll find him immediately."

As they spoke, they noticed some muscular and unfamiliar men who appeared out of place, clearly not students, walking around the school grounds.

Linda observed them and exclaimed, "This isn't a good time to talk. I think they're here."

She turned to Richard and said decisively, "Let's go." The urgency of the situation was clear, and they needed to leave the area quickly.

The men quickly spotted Linda and Richard and began chasing after them. They jumped the fence to pursue, but Richard had an ace up his sleeve. Using some of the money that Jim had given him, he had purchased a bike and learned to ride it.

As the menacing figures closed in, Richard and Linda raced toward the bike. He swiftly handed her a helmet, and they climbed onto the bike together. Linda held on tightly to Richard as the adrenaline surged through him. With a burst of speed, they roared away on the bike, leaving the pursuers behind, unable to catch up in time.

Linda, still concerned about her father, asked Richard, "I need to see my dad. Do you know how to find him?"

Richard nodded as he focused on the road, "I used the GPS to locate him when he beeped me with the communication device. I don't think he's at the company, but we're heading there now."

With the bike accelerating, they embarked on their journey to find Jim.

As Richard and Linda arrived at the location indicated by the GPS, they were met with a chaotic scene. A crowd had gathered, and it felt like a scene out of a movie. They pushed their way through, attempting to reach the front and see what had happened. The press was already there, taking pictures and reporting on the situation.

The grim news was that Jim had been involved in a severe accident. A lorry had collided with his car, resulting in a tragic end to his life.

Richard sensed that something was amiss. He knew that Jim didn't like driving, and he immediately began searching for Jim's driver. His suspicions deepened when he spotted the same men from the school at the scene, confirming that something nefarious was afoot.

Meanwhile, Linda was overwhelmed by the news of her father's apparent demise. She couldn't control her emotions and tried to rush to her dad's side. Richard, understanding the danger and the potential trap, held onto her, pleading with her not to fall for it.

Linda, in her anguish, expressed a sense of hopelessness, stating that she didn't have a reason to live if her father was gone. She was willing to face any danger. However, Richard took a drastic step to protect her. He used a spray to subdue her and carried her away from the chaotic scene, determined to keep her safe despite her protests.
