MY PERFECT BODYGUARD 2 CHAPTER FOUR TURBULENT TIDES OF THE HEART

Richard, in his room, contemplates the suit he'll wear to the departmental party. Despite his aversion to such events, he finds himself complying with Nina's request, preparing to take Becky as his date. As he gazes at his suit, Emma enters, observing Richard still seated.

"Hey, bro, shouldn't you be getting dressed by now? It's already 6 pm, and the party and dinner night kick off at 7. We need to head out; I wouldn't want Nina to wait too long for me," Emma urged.

Expressing his frustration, Richard comments on Emma's apparent enthusiasm for the dinner night while feeling neglected in his own desires.

"Look at you, all happy and excited about the dinner night, but you don't even care about my happiness. I specifically asked you to convince Nina to offer me something else in return for fixing the drone, but you chose not to. Now, I find myself headed to a party I absolutely dread," Richard voiced his discontent.

Emma defends himself against Richard's frustration, pointing out that Richard had initially agreed to anything in return for Nina's help with the drone.

"Bro, don't take it out on me; you were the one who said you'd do anything as long as she helped you fix that drone. Why are you suddenly blaming me? And by the way, Becky is hot. I bet she's into you; that's probably why Nina wants you to go out with her," Emma suggested.

"Hitting on me? I thought you guys knew about Linda," Richard replied.

"Yes, we know, but bro, you're so lonely here in school. Whenever I go out with Nina, I feel guilty leaving you all alone. Just tag along with Becky for the time being; it's just for one night, and your work is done," Emma reasoned.

After considering Emma's perspective, Richard stands up and begins putting on his suit. Once ready, they head to the girls' quarter to pick up the ladies. Nina and Becky emerge, stunning in their long, elegant dresses.

"Look at the most beautiful woman ever. Wow," Emma remarks, pinching Nina's face.

"Hey, would you stop that?" Nina protests.

"Well, I was just checking if you are really real because your beauty is out of this world," Emma teases, making Nina blush.

"You guys should better marry," Richard jokes, "because if you two break up, I will never believe in love again." The four of them share a laugh.

Richard presents Becky with a small box containing a bouquet of flowers. "Hey, I brought this for you," Richard says, and Becky gratefully receives the gift.

"Thank you," Becky responds. Richard compliments her, saying, "You look very pretty," as he gently holds Becky's hand. Emma, surprised by Richard's composure, remains speechless.

The group then proceeds to the school hall for the evening festivities, setting the stage for an eventful night.

During the dinner night, Richard ensures they have a table, and as the food is served, he engages in conversation with Becky.

"How's the school been treating you lately? I can tell that you're enjoying it because you don't seem to go home on holidays or something," Becky inquires.

"Well, I just want to focus on my studies. I feel like going back home will slow me down a bit," Richard responds, explaining his dedication to academic pursuits.

"Emma told me you have a girlfriend who's a company owner," Becky inquires.

"Well, she's not entirely my girlfriend. We decided to part ways to focus on our studies," Richard clarifies, offering an explanation.

Becky feels some relief upon learning they are not actually dating. "I was going to ask, can we go out more after today, like go on dates or something?" Becky requests.

"Of course, we can," Richard replies, and Becky smiles, enjoying her meal. After dinner, they head to the party where students dance energetically. Richard and Becky are seen having a great time together.

"Can we go to the rooftop?" Becky suggests.

"No problem," Richard says, taking her hand as they walk upstairs, setting the stage for a potentially romantic moment.

As they sat on the rooftop, gazing at the skies, Becky asks, "What's your ideal type of girl?"

Richard stares at her for a moment. "Well, I don't actually know. I haven't really thought a lot about it. Linda is the only girl that I really like, but I don't know if I deserve to be with her," Richard admits.

Curious, Becky inquires, "What's wrong with Linda?" as the conversation takes a more introspective turn.

Expressing his thoughts, Richard acknowledges Linda as a great girl who loves him deeply. However, he shares his concerns about their differences in wealth and status.

"She's a multi-billionaire and a company owner. How can I even match that energy? I feel like she deserves someone who is in her league because I'm not in her league. Even at that, I still love her, and I'm sure that one day she will no longer need me because I'm as useless as ever. I mean, who needs a broke boy from a broke family," Richard confides, revealing his insecurities about their economic differences.

I'm genuinely afraid that she might leave me one day, which is why I avoid responding to her letters. I don't want to reveal my true feelings because I fear it will lead to hurt or disappointment.

Instead of offering words of encouragement, Becky expresses happiness that Richard is being honest about his feelings.

"Well, you're right. Sometimes, people we love are way out of our league, and it's best to be realistic with ourselves. It helps us grow. Just know I'm here for you," Becky reassures Richard, who looks at her and smiles, appreciating her understanding.

While on the rooftop, someone sends a message to Richard. As he checks his phone, he finds a video of Linda and Franklin, seemingly enjoying each other's company, smiling and laughing. Richard's heart skips a beat, feeling a sense of fear. He locks his phone and returns to staring at the skies with Becky, the unsettling video casting a shadow over his thoughts.
