MY PERFECT BODYGUARD CHAPTER TWENTY WELCOME TO THE GROUP LAURA
"One word from you again and I'm gonna punch the life out of you! I'm already trying my best!" Emmanuel exclaimed as he punched the bag, breathing heavily.
"Hey, take it easy," Richard intervened, pulling Emmanuel back from the punching bag as he was about to demonstrate.
"When you want to punch someone, you have to feel more solid than the person you're punching. It's like when you want to punch a rubber, you have to act like a plastic. Or when you want to punch a rock, you have to feel like you're made of metal or iron," Richard explained, delivering two powerful punches to the bag, causing it to swing violently.
After the demonstration, Emma followed Richard's instructions and landed a hard, heavy punch on the bag, making it swing violently. "Would you look at that! I got it!" Emma rejoiced as he continued punching.
While Emma was occupied, Richard approached Nina, who was working on her computer. "What's up?" Richard asked.
"Hey, I've been thinking. If we're going to use these drones as weapons, how are we going to defend ourselves and control a drone with the remote?" Nina inquired.
"AI," Richard said.
"Are you delusional??" Nina sparked.
"How possibly do you think we, still in college, will be able to have such brains to program an artificial intelligence?" Nina continued, her tone incredulous.
"There's no way two of us won't be able to craft it out if we don't try," Richard insisted. "Come on, Nina, if there's anyone smart enough to craft it, it's you. I believe in you."
Nina felt hyped by Richard's words and smiled. "Well, let's give it a try," she said.
Immediately, they both went to work, coding in a programmer.
Back at Linda's place, Franklin was about to leave when he approached Linda.
"You haven't said anything about my proposal. Does that mean you don't love me?" Franklin asked.
"Of course not. It's just that it's happened so fast, and I'm still 19. I don't think I'm ready for that," Linda said.
"Hey, Linda, look at me. For all we know, you're alone, and it hurts me to see you that way. Everyone you love, your mom, your dad, is gone. So, you need to make new families. For all we know, and I'm here for you to make that loneliness stop," Franklin said earnestly.
"I've heard you, Franklin. Can you at least give me time to think about it?" Linda begged.
"Of course you can, just don't keep me waiting too long," Franklin said.
"I promise not to," Linda replied as they hugged, and Franklin left.
Franklin drove to Gideon's place to share new updates.
"The girl is cooperating. In no time, we will get married, and the company will be legally mine. Then we end her to ensure our claim," Franklin said.
"But I have a question. Are we gonna wait for some time before we take her out after the marriage, or should we do it immediately after the wedding?" Franklin asked.
"Well, there is no time. Remember, we have Richard to worry about, so the earlier we take her out, the better," Gideon said as he walked away from the room.
After hours of business and concentration, Nina and Richard finally succeeded.
"Yes! We did it!" they exclaimed as they hugged.
Emma entered and asked why they were celebrating. Richard explained, and then invited Emma to join. Richard plugged a microphone and headphones into Emma's ears.
"Good evening, sir. I am Laura, a computer artificial intelligence here to help you as much as I can," the AI greeted.
"Wow," Emma said in amazement.
Richard raised a board with instructions for the AI to command the drones to start and fly. Emma followed the instructions, and it worked exactly as planned.
"I can't believe this!" they rejoiced as they hugged each other.
"Now it's time to show these guys they are not meant to mess with us," Emma said confidently.
"Now we need to figure out how to make it lighter to carry around," Richard said. "Then we strike."
